Today I had the first opportunity to use a
Gleipnir in a practical application.
I was cutting back an overgrown hedge and wheelbarrowing the cuttings to another part of the property. To save trips I was piling the cuttings as high as I could in the barrow, and although they seemed quite balanced at the start of each trip they would jiggle loose on the bumpy ground and fall off.
At first I went looking for a camlock strap (my usual method for such a purpose) but I had none spare, and then my eye fell on some rope and I remembered the Gleipner.
It performed admirably, compressing the load and holding it tight.
