Title: identify a knot
Post by: Dmitry on July 27, 2020, 09:01:38 AM
Hello dear knot tyers! Help me to identify this knot please. Has it any name? I couldn't find it in any knot book. In my mind it is some modification of left-hand sheet bend. It is easy to tie and untie it. It doesn't slip on polyamide rope.

     Hi Dmitry,  It is ABOK # 1906.  Thanks.

Thank you Alan Lee! It's quite similar really. But in my case it is a bend, not a Becket Hitch. It suitable to join different diameters too.

Personally, i'd prefer the lock on the solid and locking side of splice;
not the folded back around reeve.
