What's the name of this bowstring knot?

Hello, could you tell me the name of this knot?

It consists of a noose and a half-hitch. The advantage of this knot is that once the half-hitch is loosened it is easy to adjust the size of the loop, then tighten the knot again. Supposedly it was used to attach the bowstring to a bow and keep it at the proper tension. I'm sure it's been used elsewhere.
