Below is a knot I call the "Eight Bowline". It's probably nothing special. So, you can leave now if you only want to read about special knots.
I was experimenting with some stuff posted by jcsampson and xarax, and I came across this knot. I posted this knot earlier, thinking it was new. It's actually not new, or at least it's not all that useful probably. User xarax pointed out what the knot is, and it was then obvious to me what it is. The knot is a slight variation of a well-known knot. If you're bored, you might want to guess what exactly the variation is. Maybe you'll find the properties of this knot to be appealing. Who knows?
