Pedigree Cow Hitch & Slipped Pedigree Cow
« on: December 01, 2010, 09:32:30 PM »
I did a search on the Internet and on this site.  I could find hardly information on these knots.

The Pedigree Cow is compact and is quite secure in my brief testing.  Like the Buntline, it just gets tighter with more load, except the Pedigree Cow utilizes another pass around the object.  If there is a worry of a jam, then the Slipped Pedigree Cow works well according to my brief testing.

So, what's wrong with it? ???  There has got to be something major...

EDIT:
I just discovered the pedigree cow is insecure if the hitch is not tight against the object or if the object is relatively large...major flaws.

I'll keep this thread here so that I won't start this same thread a year from now.  :D
