A quick question.
« on: February 28, 2012, 08:23:14 PM »
Hey people,

First post on here for me - So hello, I'm Russ.
Been knotting on and off for 15 or so years(is it really that long...yes it is..oh dear I'm talking to myself) - All thanks to a good friend Jack Swallow - a nutty knotting friend.

Anyways I've taken up the idea of covering a bottle or two as this has always seemed like a big challenge and also a very good way to show off some nice handy work - other than the usual lanyards, keyrings and bell-ropes I've put my hands to. Very recently a friend pointed out the "Lone Star" knot on a page out on t'interweb.
this struck me as a good knot for dealing with a steeply shouldered bottle- does anyone have some instructions on how to tie this neat little beasty?

From the pictures I've found it's hard to work out the exact paths/order of working and there are no instructions I can see.

Any help much appreciated.

cheers,

Russ.

sure thing.

the black section on the end of this..

I guess I could emulate it with a flat turks head, but I'd like to know exactly how this one is formed.

Got it figured.

Once the bottle is done - I'll post some pictures.
