I'm trying to make a rope banister out of a 35 mm (1 3/8") four strand rope.
For practical reasons, a crown and a wall type termination is out. Instead I intend to attach a 50 mm (2") sphere to the end of the rope and cover it with a tripled Abok #2217, 2222 or 2223.
I have made coverings before using #2216, but don't think that will work due to the diameter of the banister rope.
I would prefer to use the easier 2217, and if that is feasible, stop reading and let me know:)
If I have to use the 2222 or 2223, I have an two questions about the 2223.
Abok refers to a peculiarity in 2218, I understand that, but there is an other peculiarity in 2218. Doubling must be done with both ends.
Must doubling be done with both ends on the 2223, and if so, can it be tripled?
And, as always, any other ideas will be greatly appreciated.
Oopss, almost forgot. 2222 or 2223?
