Knots on TV

The latest episode of "Once Upon a Time" ("Welcome to Storybrooke") began with a father teaching his young son to tie a crown sinnet in boondoggle/gimp plastic lace (box stitch) which is later gifted to the evil queen/mayor as a keyring fob.  The father also gives his son the key fob (round stitch crown sinnet in a natural fibre) that his father made for him.  The legacy key fob serves a symbolic/talismanic role in this episode.

Last year, in "The Great Compromise" episode of "Suburgatory", two of the characters go to "Macrame Camp" resulting in a very spiffy outfit.
