Over the last week or so we have unfortunately had some spammers posting to this Forum. They and their messages have been duly removed. I have also been checking recent email addresses and have found several odd ones, all very similar. These I have also deleted as they do not seem to be genuine, i.e. interest in knots and knotting. If I am in error in doing this, please accept my apologies and feel free to rejoin.
We do have an awful lot of members who have not posted, either a question or a comment - just over half in fact. Of the rest 20% have posted only once, 29% have posted between 2 and 200 times, and just 2 members have posted over 300 messages. Just a few stats in case anyone's interested

I know of a few members who enjoy reading the messages (well most of them, anyway), but who are not confident enough to join in. Perhaps they're a little intimidated by some of the more technical topics. To them I would like to say, please don't be. The Forum is first of all for anyone who is interested in tying knots in bits of string (oops, sorry, that should really be cord or rope

). There are those who find the detailed technicalities of knots fascinating, and there are those who just wish to learn how not to tie a Granny Knot - interest is through the whole range. Hopefully everyone will find something within this Forum.
