What about an ignore function?

While I'm not suggesting the Webmistress put in some sort of full filtering system, I'm wondering if it would be possible to unsubscribe to specific posters like is possible in other programs I use...

We already have it in a limited form.  If you wish to add someone to your ignore list, click "Profile" then "Buddies/Ignore List" and fill in the appropriate fields.  It's not perfect, though.  A collapsed post with the name of the blocked user on it still shows, so a flooding poster can still flood the forum to an extent.  Their responses will also still bump threads up to the top of the topic list.

I find the "Buddies/Ignore List" seems not working well as to my expectation. I have added a name in the list, still thread appear in my post.

Look for "Edit Ignore List" to click under Profile, Buddies/Ignore List.
