Pineapple Knot Forum Cleanup
« on: October 27, 2015, 05:33:21 PM »
We are attempting to revive Dan Callahan's (RIP) Pineapple Knot Forum by cleaning out the spam and spammers, eliminating some topics which have never been posted-to and consolidating others but the really, REALLY big task is one with which each individual who has ever contributed articles or comments with pictures or links included can help us .... To go back, check their posts and try to edit them to either include a current link, include a currently available pic or delete the post if these are no longer available.

I have reset the edit function so that even the earliest posters should have access to it. If you have forgotten your information contact me thru the board's email (admin).

Some postings are just a no-brainer for the ash can, but the majority were made with the intent to educate or inform and those I don't want to summarily eliminate without at least a quick back-check.

Thanks to all who were members/contributors for your help.  I know it would make Dan happy.

Fair play to you, Vince.  This is most certainly an honorable task.

Unfortunatel, illness and time intruded upon the effort, so it died a-borning.

If anyone has anything that they kept and would like to see re-published, do send it to me via email or advise.

Thanks to all...

I remember having an account, but no clue if I posted anything or not.  Where do we go to look at the current state?

you waved in front of me the equivalent of a light bulb in front of a moth,
and i had a closer look at this business of pineapple knots,
took nearly an hour to tie the smallest one i could find,
paracord guild youtube, https://youtu.be/6tGLdQnLcPo
it took me probably 10 attempts,
i'm a bit intrigued,
i guess the closest i've got to compare it to is ring knottery,
ring knots but with drama, especially with two colours, zig-zag stuff,

I've been thinking there needs to be a crafty version of Nerd Sniping

Where creative types are forced to make a physical instantiation of something when given a prompt, but maybe we can also use nerd sniping?  8)
