Repair or beautify technical cables
« on: October 02, 2018, 04:10:29 PM »
I would like to share the following idea to repair defect cables or in another case I used the knot instead of a cable channel.
The repaired mobile phone cable now works for more than 2 years.

Very simple you start with surgeon's node and continue with a series of overhand knots (variations are also possible).

See by yourself.

Idea not bad for cable restoration. But as in my opinion, it is a little rudely made, I would use a long Turkish Head, would look more beautifully.Nothing against you personally . ;)

I don't know what was being "repaired",
but I've taken a precaution against sharp
bending of a cable (lamp cord, e.g.) by whipping
it with something, and I think once by essentially
seizing onto it some plastic from a milk carton,
for added bending resistance.  And the size of
the whipping cord should be smaller than what
you show, IMO.

Cheers,
