i made a pom-pom sheep from 2-inch offcuts,
would also work with 1-inch pieces!

i saw a toy dog in a movie and i thought 'i know what would make fur like that' - frayed braided poly cord!
couldn't quite get to the dog stage, nor even a body shape,
so went for the pom-pom!

i used a circle template,
and the pieces ended up longer than i thought they would - very long haired sheep  :)

bundle the offcuts,
include two pairs of sheep legs,
tightly tie with a length of cord that has a loop for a tall,
fashion asheep head with a matthew walker 2-strand knot
with a piece of offcut placed through it, for ears,
trim at nose and melt it.
baaa!

fishbone - from hunter's bends

while on the topic of leftover pieces,
this 2mm fishbone can be made from 3" pieces,
although this particular example was made from a continuous length

a line of hunter's bend / rigger's bend knots,
and a tall made from the 'super constrictor' knot with three loops pulled from it, and cut to make the lines of a tail fin.
i haven't finalised the fish head part

this also makes a 7-bead mini rosary
