diamond knot variation
« on: September 21, 2022, 11:23:54 PM »
The upper knot is an expansion of the lanyard/diamond knot.  It uses ABOK 787 as its base.
It has 6 bights.  Does anyone know if it has an ABOK number of its own.  I tied it loosely so
you can see the construction [over 2, under 2].  The lower knot is ABOK 792, It is similar
but has only 4 bights

Nice.
Is this tyeable (tieable? tyable?) as an extension of the diamond knot? In other words, can it be tied by first tying a diamond knot, then extending it, similar to how many gaucho knots can be tied by extending turk's heads?
