i came across this knot when looking for the smallest half hitch mat.
i think this is it though i'm not sure

 it's pattern is based on a 5-line x 6-bight ring

when inverted, it becomes a mirror-image of itself

also, in the 3-loop half hitch mat,
you may be able to see an ashley published knot,  a.b.o.k #2360,
the 3 overhand knots mat

cause they're ring knots
