There's been a wee surge in knot articles as reported to me by Google:

A scout troop from Waterloo have won a knot tying trophy, the article includes some knots WRT scouting context

Thanks for the links. I've seen Ian Fieggens site before, and he provides a comprehensive set of links to this site amomgst others.
